TERMS:
- National diploma or bachelor’s degree in information technology
- Production implementation experience
- 5 years of SQL experience as a DBA, including server architecture and administration
- Microsoft SQL Server Certified
- In-depth knowledge of database security
- Experience with SQL Server capacity management, load balancing, clustering and related technology
FUNCTIONS:
- Responsible for providing operational application database services to the organization
- Design and optimize methods to store, analyze, use and organize data associated with the application portfolio
- Investigate database related alerts and escalations
- Ensure all recovery systems are replicated to the DR, including infrastructure, database replication, and software
- Influence technology strategy by aligning technical expertise and business needs to improve IT service delivery
