Our client in the banking industry is looking for a Senior Database Administrator. The purpose of the role is to deliver, maintain, and support stable, optimal, durable, resilient, scalable, cost-effective, and high-performing database management systems that meet the company’s vision, goals, and quality.

Qualifications:

Minimum:

  • 12th grade
  • Microsoft Database Certification (MCDBA and/or MCTS (SQL Administration))

Ideal:

  • A relevant 3-year degree/diploma in computer science
  • Multiple qualifications in various infrastructure disciplines (networking, operating systems, virtualization, etc.)

Live

  • Min: 5+ years of experience in database administration and design
  • Ideal: 6+ years of Microsoft SQL Server experience

Knowledge:

Min: Detailed knowledge of:

  • SQL Server design and administration
  • Performance and capacity analysis of SQL Server management systems
  • Internals of SQL Server
  • T-SQL programming and optimization

A good understanding of:

  • Computer systems development process (SDLC life cycle)
  • Business Continuity Planning
  • IT operations
  • SQL Server internals and/or MySQL Server internals

Ideal / Optional in addition to the minimum:
